Expanding Silver-Plated Toast Holder

My favorite toast holder! This is a very neat silver-plated piece that expands up to an impressive 20"!. Designed with four ball feet and a little handle. How would you use this to decorate? Would you serve toast? Display vintage postcards? Or maybe something else?. Made in Germany, it's a very unique find! Excellent condition with some tarnish
