Antique Victorian Ice Bucket
Antique Victorian Ice Bucket
Made between 1867 and 1898, this antique quadroupleplate ice bucket is extraordinatry. Every once in a while a piece as detailed and unique as this comes along, so I am very excited to be able to offer this! Made by Wilcox in Meriden CT, the city that became famous for its fine silver. The details on this are exquisite! Use this to chill wine or champagne, for the base of a topiary, or since it is quite large, even as a waste basket in a powder room (although this really deserves a spot front and center in your home!) It is quadroupleplate which means it has been coated in four coats of sterling silver. Because of its age, there are some spots of wear and tarnish, particularly on the inside (see photos) but it is still a true showstopper! 8.75" tall x 9" wide.
