Art Deco Style Toast Holder
Art Deco Style Toast Holder
Here is a wonderful classic antique toast holder made by John Edward Bingham. It features a unique round shape and rests on three bun feet. The classic Greek key design adds a very cool touch. During the early 20th century, particularly in the 1920s and 1930s, the Greek key motif saw a resurgence in popularity with the Art Deco movement, which favored geometric shapes and clean lines, making the Greek key a perfect fit for the era's aesthetic. This holder accommodates four pieces of toast and includes a handle. It is missing a nut on the bottom, which slightly loosens the handle, but it does not significantly affect its integrity. Very good condition with just a couple of small marks due to the age on the silverplate (see photos). Dimensions: 5" w x 5" h.
